Women in Black Vigil
Every Wednesday from Noon to One
Fourth street and Ann street
One hour vigil
Women in Black is a network of women world wide committed
to peace and justice and actively opposed to war and other
forms of violence. We stand in silence vigil to protest war,
ethnic cleansing and human right s abuses all over the word.
We gather to oppose the use of violence and terror as a means
of political ends. We wear black in the spirit of Women in
Black of Israel and Palestine who call for dialogue to restore
the human rights of the Palestinian people, and of the Argentine
mothers of the Plaza Del Mayo who gathered to demand that
the military regime be held accountable for their children
who had disappeared
